Whoosh

Posted in fun, school on December 6th, 2006

That’s the sound of the first term at LSE whizzing by.

It’s the end of term, and I feel really relieved. Sure, there are still some compulsory classes and I have to actually hand in the essays that I’ve written, but it’s pretty much in the bag. I definitely deserve a bit of a break. I can’t remember any of my three years at the University of Helsinki ever feeling like this come Christmas. Maybe I just didn’t do as much as I’ve been doing here. Looking back on this term now, though, I can’t help but feel like there wasn’t that much there. Ten weeks of lectures, essay deadlines and a bit of going out doesn’t add up to much academically, I feel. Maybe that will change by the end of the year, when everything we’ve been doing so far is tied up with more advanced stuff. I don’t know, but hope so.

So now, in addition to Thursday and Friday classes as well as essays to look through and hand in, I’ve got parties or other get-togethers to go to every night.

And Christmas shopping to do. Got any requests? God knows I could use advice.
